Important - Financial Aid Award Letter
If I am correct, beginning with Sept. 2007 term you will no longer receive your Financial Aid Award Letter by mail.
Therefore, all current Ross Students and (most likely) those starting in Sept. 2007, please check your "MyRoss" Account under Financial Aid TAB. Your Financial Aid Award is already posted on your "MyRoss" account under Financial Aid. You must go in your account and accept the award for loan process to start. Longer you delay it, more delay you will encounter getting your Stafford and GradPlus Loans on time. Delay in GradPlus will create lot of hardship as that money you will need to pay your rent, food and other expenses. This is not new. Majority of US Universities have started same process for last 2 - 3 years. They post all award letters and tution bills only on students university account. They no longer send any Financial Aid Award Letter or Tution Bills by mail, and they also don't remind students to check their University acccounts. |

Tution and fees total for 3 semester is about $36000, i.e. about $12,000 per semester. Remainder are for books, food, rent, travel and other expenses. It is up to individual how they spend. Normally this other expense including books and travels runs approx. $6-8000 per semester |

I just have two, probably relatively easy, questions:
1. Has anyone tried another lender? And if so, why? Do they have lower rates? 2. I know for the unsubsidized and the Grad Plus, interest rates are not paid by the US Dept of Ed while your in school, so you have to pay the interest rate while your in school correct? If you cant tell I'm not really up to date on the details of loans. I didnt have to get any while in undergrad. I always thought that no payments would have to be paid while your still in school, but from my understanding, with these loans you have to pay your monthly interest while your in school in dominica. Correct me if I'm wrong, thanks |
