From seattle, washington. or Vancouver, B.C. (but this might be even more expensive).

someone mentioned on this board that if you book a ticket a month or so before it is usually cheaper but i didn't want to take that risk. Have you called the american airlines international reservations number? check out this link, it has the # http://www.valuemd.com/ross-universi...tml#post470982

i was in a similar situation but i'm out of south florida. I was looking to book a ticket for $688 with a return on 8/20 but i found a ticket with a return on 8/18 and decided to book it but the price came out to $1225 so i called the international flight desk and got it for $500 cheaper. i asked for the ross univ. group discount and the lady looked up the prices for me. are you looking at american airlines? or those price search engines? i was checking out the price search engines but i didnt want to deal with multiple carriers...just going to stick with american.

I just haphazardly plugged in a departure of 5/2/07 and return of 9/2/07 (didn't really know exact dates) and got a price of $924 round trip using cheaptickets.com . The fact that the school misplaced your application and you did nothing to inquire makes you accountable. You may have feelings of entitlement thinking the school should pay for your ticket rate increase, but not being accountable for your own future may cause you to pay a higher price.

You may want to try Kayak.com. I have found them to be several hundred $$ less than the american airlines price quotes and you still book through american airlines. You can also try Bookingbuddy.com.

    Wink hmmm

I didn't really want to bother you guys with details of my issue but I guess it is better than someone coming to a conclusion on their own. Yes, I did get in touch with them; I would say that I pretty much bothered the hell out of them. The reply I got each time was 'we are busy with filling the January class, we will call you if you get in'. That made sense till they said my file was on hold? Hmm, and what call was I waiting for if the file was on hold and why the interview? I guess you get the point; Dru, I am applying for Medical School not a night class I would think that at this stage one is committed, just in case you missed it.
