    Typhoid vaccine.

    Sorry! I mean Typhoid, not polio

    Is typhoid vaccine necessary?

    Not necessary but I took it before I went down there. It is a recommended by the CDC for travel to Dominica...once you get to the island you will learn the infamous term "shak attack"

    Where can you get it?

    My doctor said that the hospital didn't have it.

    My doc wrote me up a prescription for the oral typhoid vaccine. Went to Walgreens and picked it up.

    If i remember correctly..i took a series of 3 pills for 3 days. (oral vaccine..as the poster above mentioned)
