extended stay hotels in miami
Have any of you stayed at the extended stay hotels in miami?
Do you know if they are all single rooms, or if they have rooms where 2 or 3 people can share a place? Are there any close to the 7000 building and/or hospitals? Have you heard anything about the extended stay hotels--good/bad, etc? Thank you!

I lived in coconut grove -- beautiful neighborhood... apartment was ok (very dark).. $1,600/mo.. It was all good and dandy until we moved out... she deducted $500 from our deposit to have the apartment cleaned .. said something about the drapes had to be professionally cleaned or something... I said I would do it myself but she refused the idea... was in a rush to go home instead of fight with the lady.. so lost $500 off the deposit.. that is soo stupid. --> condo apartment, across from this meat/fresh lobster place...

Sounds like some major drama went down at MERP Mansion last semester if you hated it here so badly stangkillin.... I never really trolled the forums and didn't even see your posts... I only saw posts that said you had to delete or edit your posts and that was the week before I moved here. From the posts that hadn't been edited or deleted I gathered you had a miserable experience. I have to admit that it concerned me a little bit, but seeing as that I already submitted my deposit before reading the posts I thought I might as well at least check it out for myself before jumping to any conclusions.
Anyway, I'm living here now and this place is legit. The rent maybe higher than other options, but if you can afford it I think this place is great. The property is beautiful and the location is good too. The metrorail is literally only 2 stops away from school and it takes about a half an hour to get to the 7000 building, including walking. There are bugs and geckos here, but I don't think you'll find anywhere that doesn't have bugs. It's not like the place is infested. I know the bugs in Dominica will be way crazier. I think maybe you are just pissed because you wanted more bang for your buck. Personally, I think this place is straight up luxurious. Also, I think thanks to your posts bashing on this place nobody wanted to rent here. That means I only have 2 other roommates!!! Thanks man, this place is even better with fewer people living in it, but I don't think it would be terrible with 3 more. I'm not being paid jack for this post. The landlady has been really helpful to me and all of my roommates since I've gotten here and I don't have any complaints. Last edited by braindamaged; 10-31-2007 at 06:34 PM.
