no 18,500 is the max

You can borrow a maximum of $18,500 in stafford loans every two semesters. SO its actually $27750 per calendar year.

no its 8500 subsidized and 10000 unsub per Academic YEAR - if there are more than 2 semesters (ie trimester), then the total is split the number of terms (so trimester = 3 disbursements)

You get 4250 +5000 per semester for stafford loans, so for you entire time on the island you get 9250*4=37000. That is in addition to the GradPlus loan. I have already been approved for 27750 thru next summer(im in my first semester) in Staffords.
