Nope. I think something like 65% of applicants get invited to interviews. Don't quote me on that; I just know that an interview is a great sign. It means they're interested. Now, you just have to reel them in.

Interview Location?

I from Florida. Do they interview in Miami or Orlando? Do they ever interview on the phone?
Thanks!

Yeah, from what I understand they do interviews in Miami and somewhere in NJ, and are starting to do more in other areas around the country. I don't think they do phone interviews, I think only AUC and SABA do it that way.

Why would they let just anyone in? Doing that they run the risk of them failing out and/or dropping out which causes Ross to lose money in the long run. They accept ones they feel can make it. Look at the stats of those they accept, you have to admit they are pretty good. Yes, occasionally those who have low scores are granted admission but those individuals usually have circumstances that help to explain their scores. They may have actually been MERPed or have other outstanding qualities not represented in their 'numbers'.

Interview On Mond

I had an interview yesterday. It seemed to go pretty smoothly. The interview lasted only for about 30 mins....no video shown and the interview was only with one person. The interviewer did mention the 4 possibilities: "Accept, Denied, Merp or waitlisted which won't be an option in your case" since I am applying for May 2008. Then he started giving me information about MERP. He mentioned that they are starting another site in Michigan starting January.

I have a low MCAT score so he asked me if I was going to take it again. I told him that the ROSS advisors told me to apply since I have a borderline MCAT and he felt that was sound advice. I look forward to being accepted!!! I really hope I don't get MERP'd.....I WANT IN!!!

My interview experience was so bad. My interviewer flat out told me that I lack a solid foundation in the biological sciences (despite having earned B's in Genetics, Microbio, Anatomy & Phys, and Biochem). She also said that my academic record reflects weak study skills, time management and prioritization issues. I have a ~2.7 pre-req GPA which includes 2 D's (6 hours worth) that I'm currently retaking and a 24 MCAT. She didn't really mention my MCAT at all, just said that it was fine but really harped on my transcript. How bad of a sign is this? I told her that I would gladly take MERP. I'm freakin out
