i got accepted to both sgu and ross and am having a really hard time deciding between the two. i have read a lot of forums and compared sites regarding both schools...they both seem comparable. i know that it normally depends on the student, but im sure that the school is also a factor in the success of the student (in terms of facilitating the process). the biggest issue is the supposed extra 40k that sgu charges for tuition in comparison to ross, but i am willing to pay for it if sgu is better. Could anyone help and answer these questions for me? please.....
1.) how is the school in terms of helping you get your desired clinical rotations? which set of hospitals are better in preparing you for step 2 and providing LORs (cuz we need them for residencies?)? i read a horror story about a ross student missing a rotation and getting extremely screwed over...
2.) how is residency looking for ross students?
3.) what are the usmle step 1 and 2 pass rates for ross? it seems that sgu and ross are pretty much the same and is more or less based on the student...
4.) is there time between basic science courses and clinical rotations to study for step 1?
5.) living lifestyle...standard of living?
questions listed in order of importance and all in comparison to sgu. helpful posts only please!![]()
