Do not rent from Mammie's either. They take a long time to fix anything, if they fix it at all. They also "forgot" to pay our electric bill last semester and our electricity was shut off! Our agreement was they pay it and then hand me the reciept and we pay them back (that was in our lease). Mammie's then blamed the electric company saying they were supposed to cut electricity to our neighbor's apartment and not ours. When I spoke to the electric company they told me that Mammies had not paid the bill in 3 months! I also had many friends living there last semester and everyone had one problem or another with Mammies.

Can anyone out there give me feedback on Lifestyle Galleries #1 on Lizard Trail. And, if having a tin roof is a plus in that it helps to lull you to sleep during the rainy season? Or, the opposite? Thanks and cheers all!

Please remember that if you are living in a "Ross University approved site" you are able to report your problems to the Housing Department and expect them to assist you. If problems go unsolved, you may recommend that the Housing Department REMOVE them from the "approved" list. This measure hits landlords in the pocket book and usually prompts them to change. RUH lost their approval when they failed to pay their electric bill as well. Now Ross owns part of their property.

Dru, Do you recommend RUH for housing for first semester? OR, do you think they've changed as a result of these previous activites (as you mentioned about the electric bill & Ross taking partial ownership of the housing facility.)

Construction for the remodeling of RUH has been completed. I have not been down there for 2 years, so I am not sure of the satisfaction level in the updated dwellings. I'm going to ask that others living there more recently give their opinion, as I don't feel qualified. My previous opinions can be read by doing a search.

kootney resorts
I am interested in kootney but from the other posts it seems like its really far from school ( about 20 mins walk). I was wondering if anyone on the island or anyone who has been there thinks it would be safe to walk to school from kootney during the day. And do you think students have transportation from school availbale to drive them to their apts like kootney if it gets dark? Just wanted a few opinions. Thank you
