RUH housing
I've been looking into the two apt complexes i was interested in but was told today that nothing is available for the jan semester. Therefore,my option now is RUH.I talked to the housing officer and was informed that i need to sent in a deposit to secure a spot. I'm not comfortable sending in a deposit without even seeing a place. However i also don't wanna be left out without a place and panicking at the last minute. What's the protocol RUH follows as far as refunding the deposit is concerned?Hypothetically speaking,if i sent in a deposit but change my mind after arriving there...would they give my money back?
Any advice is welcomed. Thanks ~J |

Hi all,
I wanted an opinion from RUH residents. Is it really as bad as all these posts here say? How's the internet connection? Is it a good option for a student who likes to study in the room? Is there a TV and a cable in the room? Are they covered under the rent? How's VOIP service at RUH? Thanks in advance ~Jeney |

trails in relation to campus
Go to: http://www.rossmed.edu.dm/Student_Resources/Campus%20Map-April%202004.pdf#search='ross%20university%20schoo l%20of%20medicine%20campus%20map'
This is the most recent map of the campus in Dominica that I can find. If you print it off....here's the deal. The campus is considered to be in the village of Picard. The SEA is at the far left where the steps lead down into Prince Rupert Bay. This is the east coast. The far right road labeled "main road" is Ross Blvd. The trail that leads out of the south side is the trail to RUH, which is right next door to Ross on the south of campus. RUH is on the same grounds as the Portsmouth Beach Hotel. If you come out of the main gait and cross Ross Blvd and keep on going, you would pass the Safe Home on your right. Keep going straight up the steep hill (like where it says Campus Map) and you would run into the Banana Trail. This branches off into the Lower Banana Trail and the Upper Banana Trail. If you look at the north edge of the campus near Ross Blvd you will see "food stalls" AKA the Shacks. If you take Ross Blvd further north, you would run into Portsmouth. Half way across the north edge of the campus you see "steps to apartments"...I want to say that is the Lizard Trail. I'm going to link this post to the open forum to get input from seasoned students. Hope this helps Dru
