Thread: Letter of Good Conduct

Can anybody tell me how to get a letter of good conduct from the police dept? And about how long does it take to receive one? There is so much ** one has to do just to get a visa.

I went to my local police department with the Ross information. They asked for my drivers license and it took about 5 minutes to run a simple background check. Then the chief typed up an official letter and sent me on my way. It didn't cost anything. But then again I live in a small village/ suburb of Chicago, maybe a large town or city may charge you something.

Hey guys, I am going away in May for a vacation & won't be back until late June. I was wondering how long it takes for you to receive the visa once you send in the materials. I could not get an appt for my physical until right before I go on vacation in May. Do you think I will have enough time?

Also, how are people looking for their airline tickets? Do you think it would be best to buy one now or is there a specific time when tickets are cheaper? Are you going through that one Texas travel agency or just going via expedia & such?

You will recieve your visa when you arrive in Dominica. My wife researched other alternatives to the Texas travel agency, and they (austin travel agency) are by far the cheapest. The best thing to do is get what you can get done now, so you don't feel stressed and overwhelmed when the date of departure is nearing. Visa papers (Doctor's visits), passports, and financial aid are good to get started on first, b/c you don't want to be waiting for items to process for too long.
