Thread: When arriving at Dominica, how do I get Dominica currency?

Hi,

When I arrive on Dominica, how do I convert my US dollars to the currency of Dominica? Where do I go and what are these location's normal business hours?

Sorry I have never traveled internationally except for Canada (but I do have my passport).

The bank on campus (or any bank) is a good place to start to convert US dollars into Eastern Caribbean dollars. While you should do this its not emergent to do it immediately. Most places will accept US dollars but they have to go through the whole conversion to give you EC change and that conversion never comes out in your favor.

Now that the bus ride and your first night stay at RUH is FREE new students don't have to worry about those hassels either. That is a really nice change Ross has instituted.
