has anyone heard anything good or bad about george nanthans apartments
Do you guys know about apts called the comfort zone? Someone said they are closer to Ross than PBH/RUH. If you've heard of the comfort zone or live there can you tell me the basics, like how far are they from Ross (walking distance), how much is it per month, is it a safe/quite place for studying esp, do they have a generator, is it one bedroom per apartments or are there roomates, and anything else I left out.
Thanks
Anyone else staying at Silver Lining?

How many units are avaliable at RUH?? I talked to a Ross administrator and she said RUH was full. I am kinda confused how could it be full already when you are only allowed to live there for one semester and the earliest new students are suppose to be on the island is Aug 21st, can anybody shed some light on this for me?
I'll guess new students reserved rooms early - I think they were up on the housing board a whiloe ago - I vaguely recall seeing them - so you could have sent the deposit quite a bit ago.Originally Posted by Wajaro

PBH won't be full...there's always room for 1st semesters. Anyways, I would keep PBH as a last option b/c there are so many aptarments available out there. WHen you get there, ROss students will take you on a apt. tour of many places to live at, most of them being within walking distance 1-15 min away. Personally, I live 1 minute away and pay $375 U.S. It's a steal!...had to bargain a little...and you can bargain...so don't settle for every price offered. I live at a place owned by Johnson..youll learn that there are no real street names, and the apt. complexes are named according to ownership. This is going to be my 3rd semester living here...I think ima stay here for the whole time....everything is taken care of, houscleaning 2x a week. I just prepay electricity, thats bout it. Generators aren't that important...If your a good student, youll be on campus till sleep time anyways. I've only had to take one cold shower these past 2 semesters. Electricity goes out for maybe an hour at a time.couple times a month..mostly at dawn....but doesnt really affect us that much. IF anyone has questions feel free to ask...best of luck to you guys...
510 points the only places left at PBH are for 550 and 650 and they are a lot worse than RUH. I decided to stay at Lilian Piper after going through the housing tour, but to my dismay, the A/C was so loud that I couldn't even think straight, let alone sleep. So since the landlord was no where to be found when I moved in, I got the hell out of there the next day and moved back into RUH for the semester, which is close to school, convenient, and hassle-free. I will take my time and ask around as well as go to see for myself other places so I can make an informed decision on where to reside for second semester and beyond. Oh and did I mention that the A/C at RUH is new (or it looks like it is) and it is quiet. All you need here is some place clean, a desk, A/C that works REALLY REALLY well and is quiet, and this is the most important of all: A PLACE THAT DOESN'T CONSUME 3-4 UNITS OF ELECTRICITY PER HOUR!!!!! Be aware of all this... If I was then I wouldn't have chosen that place. Also, there looks like there will be some new places on lizard trail come January.
Does anyone know of any places close to school where: the A/C is quiet, works well, where the electricity doesn't get used so quickly, is clean, ect... I don't really care about the price, so long as it is under 1000$
