Hey could someone give me some feedback on the IM rotation at CME? What are calls like, it is a good mix of teaching and scut?

Ob-Gyn is 2 weeks clinic, 2 weeks Obstetrics, 2 weeks Gyn

Morning rounds at 7.30, you may, or may not have to show up earlier to help write post-partum notes. Sign out by about 4.

Call is Q6 (there are 6 students), and weekends are off, unless you are on call

The residents are good, except for a certain PGY-1, and a certain PGY-3

I had a good time, you learn a lot, the residents are great. You will either be at MIH, or at St. John's. The call schedule mirrors the interns call schedule. Teaching is present, and you get to learn to do procedures such as ABGs, NGT insertions, blood draws, maybe even put in lines. Very student friendly.

Funny...I finished Surgery at CMC in Sept. and the 6 wks we were at St. John's, call was q 3, but I think call really depends on how the students want to work it...ie if they want 2 students per night w/ q3 call, etc.

how is it? I am really looking for a good place to do a sub i but at the same time actually learn. any info would help thanks!

Hello all, I am starting Ob in May and have a few questions to anyone who has done OB here. What are the hours like and what is the call schedule like? I am considering taking the nights and weekend course at Kaplan for step 2 which would coincide with the last 3 weeks with OB, is that crazy? I hear OB is pretty rough in terms of the hours, any input from people would be great, thanks......
