Cool IM Rotation

Has anyone done IM rotation in this hospital? I am starting next month. How are the hours? How are you graded? What exams do you take? How many students rotate there? What is the call schedule like? Anyone who did the rotation there recently please tell me the details. Thanks!

Finishing next week. Had a great time. Learned a lot. One exam at the end, easy. hours are good morning report at 8am or 9 am depending on the day (7:30 on monday). Day ends at about 5. Call is q3 or q4 days. Starts at 4-5pm and ends around 9pm. No weekends. Grading is done by Dr. Y...amazing person and physician. There are about 4-6 ross students and 2 pa students from umdnj. You will follow a PGY1 and stick to his or her call schedule (mentioned above). These PGY1's are brand spanking new!!! They will be paranoid and confused, so give them a break. I got lucky I came in at the end of the PGY1's year so they are ready to move on, they were cool. If you want specifics on who to stay away from and the different personalities PM me...anyway you will have a great time, I did.

Avoid a certain resident with blond hair - I think he should be a PGY3 now, not sure b/c he was left back and even demoted a couple of times before. Anyways, he probably would be the only one there with blond hair and Caucasian. He's a real douche and will try to screw you over. Don't get fooled into thinking he knows his stuff or that he is a friend. None of the other residents like him b/c he's incompetent, lazy, and a prick.

100% correct. By the way he should be a PGY9 by this time.

For IM, does this site have a cutoff for Step 1 scores? Also, Does anyone know when the next start date is?
