Harbor Hospital Center, Baltimore

Not much hands on (i.e. blood draws, IV lines) but you do get to learn clinical medicine. One of the best IM clinical sites that Ross has. Call Q4. Many lunchtime drug-rep lunches.

Keep in mind that there are only 2-3 Ross students that rotate for the IM core rotation every 12 weeks. There are alsol other students from St. Chris, SABA, and Spartan.

Good luck,

I have done IM and cardiology at harbor. It was a good rotation with lot of learning. Call was Q4 for us as well. Most of the students lived near the john hopkins area. A few got apartments in glenn burnie and catonsville.

Recent?

Anyone with recent experience here? I'll be starting IM here shortly, so I was just curious about how things are now.
What are the hours like? Typical day? Weekends?

Fully furnished Room in Townhouse in Maryland, a deal you can't pass up!
My brother is a Ross University medical student, and I know how hard it is traveling to different parts of the country to complete your rotations. I am located in North Beach Maryland (Calvert County), a 45 min drive to Baltimore or DC and only minutes away from Prince George Hospital and Annapolis. My brother lived with me for 6 weeks when he rotated at St. Elizabeth's in DC.

I have a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath townhouse that is located a half mile from the beach. I am extremely flexible regarding short term renting and will pro-rate your stay if needed. I will require a security deposit that you will get back. You will have access to the entire house except my room in the basement.

Rent is $600 and includes everything. There are two bedrooms located on the second floor. You will have the larger bedroom that has a private bathroom, the other bedroom is a spare bedroom that I will NOT be renting out. Your room has a full size bed, desk with chair, dresser, and a 32 inch television. What your rent includes:

All Utilities (yes, everything, AC included as well b/c it's central air)
Wireless Internet
Cable TV (with HBO and Showtime)
Washer and Dryer
Townhouse has Dishwasher, Microwave, Electric Grill on back patio
Phone with Unlimited Long Distance anywhere in the United States
And a parking space
Living room has a 42inch plasma tv with a leather couch that has two recliners in it.

As for me, I am a State Trooper and work on a rotating schedule so I am always working. As for you, you MUST BE CLEAN, Trustworthy, and pick up after yourself, i.e. don't leave dishes in the sink or pots on the stove with food in it, and when you move out leave a clean bathroom). The community I live in is quiet and the place is perfect for studying. If your interested please email me at jac51pc@comcast.net , also I can email you pictures if you'd like to see the place.
