I have question about Danbury Hospital Psychiatry rotation. Is it Greenbook rotation. I want to apply in california and it require ACGME site.
Danbury itself does not have Psych residency. Has any one got cali license after doing danbury psych.

As far as I know all Danbury is Green. I think there is a Family residency there so it's all under the umbrella. As far as Cali goes that should be ok, but not ok for Texas.

Danbury does not have Family Medicine residency (Nor it is approved by ACGME family Medicine (Looked the acgme website). So I am worried its psych rotation does not come under green. CT has only two acgme Family med programs, one is uconn and one is middlesex hospital.
Would appreciate if some one got cali license after danbury psych. I am starting it soon and very worried.

Danbury Hospital Psych is ACGME (greenbook rotation). It doesn't need to be under family medicine umbrella because this is a affiliated site for NYMC westchester psych residency. Feel free to look this info up with ACGME website or the Frieda website. I will try to teach a man aka you to fish so you don't have to go around asking others. So here is how you look up which programs are greenbook or affiliated with a hospital:

Google Freida to go to the Freida website. Here is the address(FREIDA Online®) to make things easier.

On the left hand side it says residency fellowship search click on that

Then again on the left hand side click on institution search

Pick the state the hospital is in

click continue search

then click on the institution you want.

Then click on the affiliated or sponsored program tabs to see which programs are greenbook aka affiliated with the hospital.


You can also verify by going to the ACGME accredited programs website and going to NYMC westchester pscyh and see that residents from there actually rotate in this hospital. I will leave that up to you to figure out.... Good Luck!!!!
