Where did you guys live during your surgery rotation at Cape Cod? Is there a place across the street or nearby that you can rent for the 3 months? Can someone please give me the name or website? thanks!

Hi, I'm from Cape Cod and have worked at CCH for a number of years...I am hoping to begin med school in the fall and I came across this post.
I would love to help answer questions about CCH in any way that I can! I don't know too much about the actual setup with clinicals and such, but general things about the Cape and the hospital I'd love to comment on!

CCH website

www.capecodhealthcare.org

encompasses Cape Cod Hospital, Falmouth Hospital (also on Cape Cod), VNA, (and there are a few more...)

anyway, click on the Cape Cod Hospital link (it's tiny) at the top of the page to learn about CCH!

I have worked extensively in the ER and Radiology, although I think they only offer a surgical clerkship (but I may be wrong) so I might not be a huge amount of help....

It's a great hospital, in a great location (esp. in the summer) with a great staff.

Cool housing ?

I'm going to be doing a surgery rotation in Hyannis as well, and I'm wondering about the housing situation. Have any of you done your surgery rotation there? I'd be so grateful if you have any tips on places to live! Thanks!

Hey there,

I will be starting rotations here in a week and was wondering what you guys thought about the rotation. I will be doing surgery. Is the grading very difficult? Will it be ok? Will I learn a lot and get to do a lot of hands on stuff. Really appreciate any advise!

Where to live in Hyannis for rotations at Cape Cod Hospital

I did a 4 month rotation at The Cape Cod Hospital last winter. Found a great place to stay. 3/2 fully furnished house for a reasonable rent and owners that are looking for other students to occupy this winter (Sept 2006-April 2007). You can see the website for the house at
Hyannis Vacation Rental home in Mid Cape Cod
and you can email the owners at lauriemoulis@yahoo.com

The place was great with central heating and, like I wrote, fully furnished. It had Cable TV, High Speed Internet and much more. In a very quiet neighborhood, within 8-10 minutes of the hospital, 2-3 minutes of a large grocery store and less than 5 minutes from the beach.
