any housing sugg. for Chicago
Hello,
Could anyone tell me about places to live In Chicago. I am going to be starting Internal med at Jackson Park in September and ideally I want to get a place close to Jackson Park but I have heard that the neighborhood was not safe. I looked thru craigslist but I am unsure of how safe the areas are. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. My two priorities are safety and close proximity to the hospital in that order. Thank you. |

housing Jackson Park Hospital
That area of the city is not safe. You need to be about 30 blocks north of the hospital. Find something around Michael Reese - 29 and Ellis - Live in the Bridgeport area of the city and you can get to Jackson Park in a car in about 20 minutes by taking Lake Shore Drive.
Hyde Park is also a very nice area to live. That is at 55 and Lake Shore Drive. |

hi
I lived in Chicago all my life. PM me with the cities for each apartment you are interested in. Hyde park is a good location. Downtown Chicago will be pricey but is safe. North side of Chicago is fine too but will be a longer commute since JPH is on the South side, but you can always take Lake Shore Drive and coast all the way. Stay away from the South syyyyde!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
