Thumbs up Reliable and Trusted transportation

There is a local guy named Corn that does transportation for students around the island as a taxi or tour service and he does airport runs to and from campus for reasonable prices. He is friends with many students and has a good reputation for reliability and safety. His number is 767-265-2654. Also his mother runs a laundry service with washer and dryer versus most of the local laundries line drying. He will pick the laundry up from your house and can generally get it back to you at your home within the same day. You should all call him for laundry and transportation when you get on the island.

If you guys go with Max, make sure you are not alone in the minivan with him. Rumors are that he raped some girl and Ross fired him? Apparently Alexis is a creep too. I don't know, I could be wrong. Rumors are rampant at Ross anyway. I'm sure someone thinks a short, skinny girl like me is a rapist too

That is a very serious allegation to make against him. I have taken him many times to the airport and he is probably one of the most popular drivers amongst students.

do you know how much he charges for the laundry service...and it is same day service? If you have his mothers phone number for laundry...that'd be very helpful..thanks

I saw an OCEAN laundry van driving around, but from talking with other students I heard they are not realiable and their same day service is a joke...usually takes them 2-3 days and they never show up when promised..which is bad because not too many of us want to stick around waiting for someone who is not gonna show up when we have classes and labs to attend

charge depends on the load and ranges between 25 and 40EC but for all the laundry I have( as a girl )has never exceeded 40. It is same day service as long as there is time meaning he gets it in the morning or early afternoon and he can get it back by the evening. If he gets it late then it would be the next morning but never longer than that. Its always been same day for me and as I said thats all my clothes sometimes. They are also pretty good about getting it done within a reasonable schedule if you have a specific time you want it back by or you can call him when you are available and he can bring it then. His mom's house number is 767-445-5856 and the cell is 767-225-8834 and its called Magdalene's Same Day Laundry Service.

Two other reliable transport drivers endorsed and used by Island Thrift are Mervin and Roosie.

Mervin: (767) 276-3113

Roosie: (767) 245-4762
