Thread: Problem with Carol Davila University Admission...PLEASE HELP!

Hi guys, I am recently applying for medicine in Carol Davila University through SMA(study med abroad). I will be receiving my final A-Level cert. by the mid-August but when i informed the agency about this they advised me not to apply to carol davila uni. as i will be late for the English Entrance Examination. They told me that the i will not be able to get my visa until mid of september as i will be submitting my cert. very late. Please help me deciding if i should apply to university and Did anyone else came across this problem?
If there is no other way, then which university in your opinion i should apply to. Cluj, Oradea or Constatan University. Please help me in deciding which uni. i should apply to(if not Carol Davila).....Please Reply..

Hi, I think you can still apply to Cluj-Napoca, Targu Mures and Brasov if you're gonna recieve your certificate in August, but CHECK with them first by contacting them. I wouldn't apply using an agent, they cost too much and some universities I heard give priority to direct applicants. Also, am I right in assuming that you're from the UK? (A Levels, mid August...) If you're from the EU you don't need a visa to study in Romania, you just have to register your presence in the country. Agents sometimes tell lies when they haven't been able to find you a 'guaranteed seat', they probably wouldn't want to lose you for the next year. Anyway, Good Luck

Exactly as Doxter mentioned, agents sometimes tell lies. My advice is to apply to Constanta. I am in touch with a lot of GP's in UK and they graduated from Constanta. Actually one of them referred me here along with a friend of mine who was also a student here. Another thing is that you don't need a visa.
Still my advice is don't apply through agents. Students go back crying after they have paid loads of money to agents because they don't get spots here even after paying. Last year it was a chaos in all the universities. A lot of students applied but only a few were allotted spots because of the orders from Ministry. I was lucky enough to get in.

doxter@ yeah I am frm uk but i am a paki national.....i dont have uk nationality so i guess i will need to apply fo visa..:P
And I will most probably apply to Constanta...

Does any know which university has the highest Drop Out rate?

Going through an agent can get very expensive, that is the truth, but doing it yourself can get very hectic! Constanta is a good university, and if you can do everything yourself, go for it! if you want any additional info, send me an e-mail on amrdns1@yahoo.com

Guyzz dunt mind people referring you to themselves. If anybody wants, i can put you in contact with the professor who deals with the admissions from the admission office For constanta. I am personally from there

cute ayam is perfectly right, do that, go direct through the admissions office, and AVOID AGENTS, don't pay nothing to nobody, just struggle a little and everything will be just ok!
