I am a student in DENTISTRY in Constanta...

    Advertisements

Hey for all you folks interested in learning dentistry at the "ovidius" university of constanta this is my story...

I attended this school last year expecting to have the program in English, but when i arrived, i found out to my disappointment that all lectures are in Romanian. As i didn't know Romanian at the time, I had a deal that basically said I'd be allowed to write my exams in English for the first year, but after that, I will have to write them in Romanian. So I was given one year to learn Romanian. Anyways, i studied all the courses on my own from english books and passed all the first year courses. Now, i'm in the second year of dentistry, but the thing is i still haven't mastered the romanian language. during lectures, they talk SO FAST that i can't keep up and it's really hard to write anything down. I'm still praying that they'll open an english division for dentistry because i just can't take it. the only thing is we need more people! if we have enough english-speaking people, they will open an english division for us. we already have about 4 or 5. we need more.
if anyone is interested, call the secretary of the faculty of dentistry. here is their office number- 0241545697 ask for Ms. Adela. she speaks english. she's usually there from 10am-3pm romanian time. that's GMT +02:00.
talk to her about wanting to study dentistry in english since currently, there are no english division available for dentistry. there IS an english division for general medicine if you're interested in that too... but Ms. Adela is not in charge of that. call someone else for that.
let me know if you have questions. i'll answer. i'm still here in constanta right now, so ask away!

Really, how do you possibly know that? Are you a student studying in Constanta in English division. I assume not since there is NO Dentistry programme taught in english there, How do i know? I went there and spoken to Ms Adela myself, Tomes Mall area Dental Faculty, The first door on your left is the secretary office. She does speak english and confirmed that if 12 applicants (meaning with invitations from ministry of education) apply to study there in english, they will open the English Division for dentistry. Calling wouldn't be enough as she mentioned "people call but no invitations received".

Of course the course would start from 1st year and tutution fees at 360 USD per month.

Constanta have a general medicine taught in english, so no problem about that, just contact Dr. Dan Ilescu for application process.
