    As an internist, I don't believe that EM docs are qualified to practice primary care. Their training lacks some of the essentials of primary care.....Long term management of disease, screening guidelines etc. A lot of it they could do, such as urgent care visits for respiratory infections etc. How about following diabetics and hypertensive patients? It seems easy, but doing it RIGHT takes a good bit of study. G
