I noticed something when I was going through the unfilled positions for fm and internal medicine on scutwork.com. (first time I have been on that site) There seems to be many unfilled positions for the 2005 match process. Why is there so many? And if all these positions are still open, shouldnt it be easier for a IMG to get in to at least one? ( say if one was interested in fp or internal med).
Also, say you fail step 1, but pass step 2 and 3 with first time, do you think one would have a shot at any fp residency anywhere in the states with all these unmatched positions still available in any given year? (assuming that he is Canadian, with the green card ) |
