plastic surgery residency
I am a graduate of a caribbean school I am wondering if there is any chance for me to get a plastic surgery spot. It is my passion to become a plastic surgeon and it is the only thing i really want to do. I am wondering if anyone has any tips on which hospitals are IMG friendly for plastics and anyone that has any pointers on how to get in

plastics
Direct plastics is tough but SGU had a graduate last year that got a spot at University of Okalahoma.
The other route is doing general surgery and then a plastics fellowship. This is a feasable route for IMGs even hough this is still tough. Apply to General surgery programs that are known to put grads into plastic fellowships like York hospital in Penn (this hospital has a private group of plastic surgeons as full time faculty and they have great connections), I interviewed there and they made it clear that if you want plastics this would be possibility coming from this program.
