    Programs accepting multiple usmle attempts

I am a Carib med grad with multiple USMLE attempts. Which programs would you advise I apply to? I am having a hard time finding ones that REALISTICALLY accept my repeat USMLE attempts (Step 1 = 2 attempts, Step 2CK = 3 attemtps, Step2CS = first attempt pass)....all borderline pass-scores.

I am desperate for any help/advice. I have 2+ years of US clinical experience and solid LoRs.

I am interested in Family Med, Peds, and Psych (but honestly, will take ANYTHING).

Please PLEASE please write back. I do not have much in the way of funds ($$) to apply to too many programs nor to purchase lists advertised

    lol...when you pass CS...

but on the interviews that you do go on, if they ask about your scores do NOT lie to them...tell them you failed and that you are trying to take it before the deadline...and if by then you have the thing scheduled, let them know the date.

Use Check 4 Change on Firefox, it gives a notification when website changes, you can set it to check every 5 mins. You'll see stuff a few days before. So get to studying, and keep checking. You will find a date.

The OP will not meet the requirements for more than 150 family medicine residency programs. I don't know anything about psych but I would imagine he would meet the minimal requirements for more psych programs than family.

This is no time to go cheap on applying to programs. You must apply to all programs you qualify for.

psych doesn't appear to be the backup it used to be...it has surprisingly gotten a little more competitive, with much less programs to pick from than FM and IM, and more DOs applying for and securing positions along with better qualified IMGs (ie. passing all steps first attempt with above-average-for-psych [205-210] scores). multiple failures are probably forgivable for AMGs). this is outside of the 4% or so US MDs who match every year at their top choices. now that Match is all-in, I think the OP will have to spend some time researching FM/IM/PMR/psych programs that are not participating in the Match or anticipate the SOAP . FREIDA might be a good resource for the former.
