Greetings and sincere prayers for everyone,


I am an IFMG and have recently registered at ECFMG. I am planning to take step 1 in March, 2013 and aiming for residency match in 2014. However, I need to know:


i) When should I apply for the USMLE step 2? (Should I before taking step 1 in March 2012, considering that I will apply for residency in 2014?


ii) Considering residency in 2014, ideally, what should be the application schedule for all exams? say, for example, Step 1 in March 2013, Step 2-CK in December, 2013 and step-2 CS in March 2014?


The bottom line is, can someone please advice me WHEN to APPLY / REGISTER for step 2 CK & CS, considering I need to apply for residency in 2014?


Will appreciate a genuinely helpful response from the bottom of my heart.

you need to have everything done and passed by sept of 2013 for the best shot at a spot in 2014.
