    Does anyone know about Medconnect?

I'm in my 6th year of medicine in University of Constanta. i am from Nigeria. We were approached by an agency called medconnect that helps graduates get into residency in Germany.

They are willing to give us a training course in German language for a cheap price of 100 Euro and take us to Germany for language training but they insist we sign a contract with them which entails that we are bound to them for 2 years once we get into residency and if we deviate from them we are to pay a fine of 5000 Euro.

They insist that they do not gain anything form us and the hospitals in Germany pay them for getting doctors but i don't think they are telling the whole truth. Please can someone give me an advice on how to proceed?

If you can speak German at the B2 level or better, you interview well, and you know your stuff, you can very probably find an Assistenzarzt position. EU citizenship is not currently required, especially if you speak German well and you are not from a country that causes German immigration authorities to raise an eyebrow. Again, though, that is where things stand at the moment, no telling how it will be in few years. For more details I would recommend contacting a few of the recruiters. Most of them speak at least some English and may even assist in the German classes to get you to B2.
