Matching W/only Pre-med and NO undergraduate degree

Can someone who matched into a U.S. residency only having some undergrad like 60 credits or went to a pre-med program located on the island post there experience if they gained a residency and what about permenant licensure. I am pertaining to Carribean Schools. As many states require 60-90 Undergrad Credits for Licensure. Has anyone made it to Residency with out holding a Undergrad Degree or Certain Courses that are typically required in U.S. model Medical schools such as Physics or Chemistrys. Please post your experiences or story. Thank You it will be greatly appreciated any input. As i am applying to the Match and I dont have a completed undergrad i just have 60credits and most courses are biology but i do not have the chemistrys or physics. Thanks

right.........and in the case of my buddy..........he had to 'remediate' his situation by retaking a course AFTER he was an MD.........it's CASE-BY-CASE...........but it's a HEADACHE to deal with!!

better do it now or fix it now than later!! you don't want to be an attending and have to take chem or physics 101!!!

An applicant whose premedical education does not meet the requirements set forth in this section may, at the
discretion of the board, be permitted to remediate the substantive deficiencies in a manner determined by rules
adopted by the board, and be deemed eligible for licensure. The board may waive the educational requirements of
this section for any applicant who demonstrates that he has attained the substantial equivalent of these requirements
through his post-secondary education, competency, accomplishments and achievements in the practice of medicine
    and surgery.
    Amended 1939,

This gives hope. Cause if your board certified then u have proved something and also i have many other acomplisments also. THIS is hope the previous poster gave me a ray of hope. I guess i will have to wait and see tommorow. THanks

I agree with you on that, but you were giving off the vibe (whether it was intentional or not) that you could not get licensed at all, which is not true.

well i have a bachelors, but they do ask where its from and verification has to be sent from your school. there is something called FCVS which obtains a physicians verification and NJ uses that. they also ask you to tell them where you got your degree. I had to fill out specifically my undergraduate school, years i was there, and major.

However, it does not say anything about consequences of not having an undergraduate degree.

so from what you are saying it is highly unlikely that i will be denied a full license just for not having completed physics or chemistry in undergrad. I mean all they want is 60 credits and i have 90 credits just not physics or chem. Any help since u have went through the process. and also are u licensed in NJ

dude, it's highly unlikely you will match......you're going to show up at the crappy community fm/im program interviews you get and blow them away with your LACK OF COMPREHENSION OF ENGLISH.......the one dude(passusmlecs) has told you what to do about 7 different times in 3 different threads and no progress has been made......

also, if you go to a horrid carrib school(which you obviously do), why the obsession with new jersey?

you seem to be confusing several different processes:

Getting a residency does not generally depend on your ability to be licensed. Once you get a residency, you usually work under a training license for the first several years as a foreign grad. This license is generally easier to get, and your hospital often does the paperwork for you. Then and depending on the state, you can apply for your permanent license afte your 2, 3, or 4th year in residency. That is where all the tedious requirments come in, once again depending on the state.

Now, if you are unable to get a license in NJ, you can always try a different state with softer regulations. If you want to work in NJ no matter what, then what you can do is get another state license and then work at a VA facility. VA are run by the federal goverment and you can use any state license in any VA.
