Don't kill yourself trying to be funny and/or uniquely special - you're almost certainly not coming up with something PD's haven't heard before. Keep it simple, direct, and straightforward.

honestly why would a PD wants to read an interesting case in a personal statement, they want to read about you, if they want to read a case they can read it in a journal.

I can see that, but if you talk about a case to show how and why you were interested I think you can do that. It's just one should not get caught up and just talk about that case in the whole personal statement I guess.

    Save format

Also remember before uploading your PS you HAVE to save it as a plain text file in Word, and then copy and paste it to ERAS. If you don't you will have issues with paragraphs and spacing that could make your PS look terrible on the ERAS pages.
Be original, professional, follow a theme, and don't make it too long!

Almost forgot...here is a NOT to do.
Do NOT have multiple people proof-read your PS. If you have multiple people giving you input, your letter will sound more and more generic and will reflect less and less of your personality. It is a good idea to have 1 or maybe 2 trusted advisors/friends have a look and give you tips, but try to keep your letter as true to your personality as possible. Remember, PD's have to read hundreds of these things.

It is my understanding that the Personal Statement should be one page long. How about the font size? Is font size 11 too small? I know font 12 is easy on eyes, but font 11 will let me add little more information.

    I appreciate your input.
