Question about interviews

Just wondering, when doing dinner/lunch with residents, and meeting PD's, is it done with other students, in a group? Or do we go out individually?
I know the interview itself will be one on one with the PD, but the lunches etc are what I'm wondering about?

What about programs that state "spouses welcome" in regards to interviews?

Does this mean spouses are welcome to come and see the hospital, surrounding area and stay at the hotel the program is paying for? Or are spouses ever welcome at the residents dinner/lunch?

Man I can't imagine my wife being at the dinner, is that ever done?

actually yes, i've seen spouses, heck even just SOs, come to dinners...gives another prospective...and programs know that a spouse can have alot of say in the ROL.
