Important Match question
Hi, I'm trying to match for 2008 and I have taken step1 and step 2 cs, but I haven't taken CK yet. My question is that I have heard the deadline for match is December 31.... some people have said that you have to have a passing score for both steps by then? Meaning you have to take CK probably by the end of November? Or does that deadline mean you have to take your exam by that date? Meaning you can take step 2 ck on say the 31st of december and you're fine?

Not true... you can apply with just step 1 like me. read the earlier links about this, they're actually very helpful.
You must have all scores in by feb 28 (i think, plus or minus a week of this) in order to match. Some programs have deadlines of dec 1 and dec 31. you have to check yourself with the programs you want... good luck. I would do it now if i were you, it's getting kinda late. some programs only have a certain amount of spots for how many interviewers they are willing to interview, it's first come first serve basically.... others will be place on waiting list until someone drops the interview... |
