    Lets get the numbers straight. for the good of mankind

    1- How many people apply to the match last year.
    2- How many were IMG
    3- How many positions for residency were available
    4- How many IMG got a prematch offer and because of that they dont appear as match, a rough stimate.
    5- How many programs are you suppose to apply?
    6- How much money roughly will you spend in the match?
    7- How many programs for IM, gives you H1 or J1?
    8- How many programs for FM, gives you H1 or J1?
    9- Were is the master list of IM and FM for the people with the following:
    step1 75, step2 75 and more than 5 years of graduation, no USCE
    10- What do you guys think about FM in Alaska?

    Alaska Fm.....

    only US citizens and green card holders admitted into their residency program ..... overall it seems a nice getaway for residency program in a good location ......

    I think FM in AK is a great idea. I believe you'll learn a lot of self-reliance if you want to practice medicine in that same environment. They're going to choose people who want to remain in AK after residency or who have ties to that area.

    If that doesn't work you can look to places in Wyoming and Montana and Idaho. They're going to provide the same level of training in theory.

    As far as numbers go, I have no idea.

    FM in Alaska??

    I heard that they give stipends and things for going to rural areas, but going all the way to Alaska may be too cold for most. I don't think thats for me....

    It would be nice to see some numbers for match though....anyone?
