high-paying specialties that aren't competitive?

are there any specialties that pay above, say, $220-k a year that aren't as competitive as anesthesiology, rads, or surgery?

are there any high-paying specialties that an average joe caribbean grad can get without too much trouble??

is ob/gyn one of them??

You can make a lot of money in almost any specialty if you work hard enough or are very business minded. The trick is making a lot without killing yourself, hours wise etc. Those specialties are all competitive.
OBGYN is not a specialty to make alot of money "without too much trouble"......

All the psychiatrists I've worked with in private practice make over $250.

when people say 250K income, do they mean before tax & expenses (overhead, malpractice, etc) or after? including or excluding standard bonuses & typical perks?
