If memory serves, the salsa in the commercials was made in San Antonio! lol BUT, Santa Fe has the best authentic Mexican food you've ever tasted. To be honest, there isn't much to do in Santa Fe. Although, Taos, Angelfire, and Santa Fe ski basin (among many others) are wonderful skiing that NO ONE knows about. I love the fact that you can be in a great cultural area like Santa Fe, and drive 2 hours through some gorgeous scenery and be at Taos ski mountain...some of the best bump skiing in America I might add!! I can't wait to move back!

There aren't a lot of Spanish-speaking people in Maine, but we do have whole communities who speak French exclusively. Lewiston, Maine has many schools that teach kids completely in French. My best friend just married a guy whose family is from a nearby French-speaking area, and half of his guests didn't speak any English.

I had a dream last night that it was today and I received my acceptance letter from Grenada, and they said I had to be there by tomorrow! So I was frantically packing, I couldn't find my sandals so I got some old nasty falling-apart ones out of my closet and sprayed them with waterproofing in the hope they would hold up till Christmas. I was frantic, packing everything from leisure books and shorts to Tupperware and Ziploc bags.

You know, as in that "he's got sand - brass - courage - grit - bravado - bravery". I heard it from someone talking about the apostle **** getting stoned outside of the city for sharing the gospel, coming to again, then walking back into the city to finish his sermon.

**** had 'sand'.

I like that. I shall use that term more often alternately with "manpants".
Ermmmm....Islandwife? um...."got sand" also means....erm.....um.......it's talking about your....uhmm...cootchie. There! I put on my manpants and just came out with it. I feel so much better.

Oh I see that BabaO has already got his manpants on and explained it to Islandwife.
