........imagine a HOT humid, day. you feel sweat down your face. you need something COLD...ICE COLD... somethings smooth down the throat. something that can ONLY be sipped, and with EACH sip, you get that SAME origonal taste of your pesonal beer....

.......some drink from the bottle, some a mug. i prefer the bottle. as the bottle neck makes it's way to your mouth, you can allready ENVISION the taste, it's coming....

...then, that FIRST droplet of beer, bound by adhesive forces, SLIGHTLY touches the tip of the tounge......

...it feels RICH and SMOOTH. full of a particulate flavour. not too strong, not to light, not to dark, not too light...

...it's that PERFECT beer, that then makes it's way into the MOUTH...

....that FIRST sip of the day, is the most special one. It's what gets the mouth ready for the rest of the night (or day)...

...then, you continue that first sip...not too much beer, not too little. just enough to get that critical first sip started....

as you tilt the beer bottle neck down, you do so CAREFULLY. as you lower it, you are still enjoying the rich and smooth taste of the Sip...

you make sure that every droplet reaches all corner of all zones in the mouth, it's crucial not to let it go straight down, without it reaching all corners.....

...then, as it goes down the throat, you close you eyes for a brief moment, and enjoy the feel against the throat ---> finally! the throat is CURED!!!!!!!!!!!!

and then, you continue the process, and then move onto the next beer....

i hope an alcoholic does not read this.....

Who said this: "You should pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you should never pick your friend's nose"?[/quote]

Oh - wasn't that Pee Wee Herman?? I tell my son that one all the time, but I say it "You can pick your nose and you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your friends' noses."

Yes, he may have had the same summer reading list I did. VMI made us read "Lincoln on Leadership" apparently it was something his father told him. Along the same lines of his famous quote about pleasing some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time but never being able to please all of the people all of the time.

Obviously, you have never had

Blackwatch Cream Porter (MacTarnahan's)

Berryweizen (Widmer Brothers)

etc.

Both fruity AND sweet at times...

Also...good Guinness is chocolaty and...full of yeasty goodness.

Nothing better than a pint of black and tan either!

Rich, exotic, sometimes fruity, always flavorful (well, except Carib...and colorado cool-aid AKA coors light...)

Whoa Batman

I had no idea you were such a poet. Beer brings out a whole different side of you.

consider me humbled

Those do sound good. I've only tried 3 in my thirty something years so let me hush. I'm out of my league here.

wow, that's almost exactly how i feel about a good cup of tea! Ah, first flush darjeeling......
As for beer, my little brother likes blueberry beer. Never tried it myself. I prefer the sweet drinks that don't taste like alcohol, like smirnoff ice/twisted, pina coladas, etc. One drink and I'm pretty buzzed anyway. Major lightweight.

Wow, Batman I thought for sure you were talking about Diet Dr Pepper or IBC Cream Soda.....

I like Coke Slushies or frozen lemonade on days like that.
