Thank you butters, and thanks to all of you who have been supporting me. My grandmother ended up getting a pacemaker yesterday morning, and is still in the hospital because she is having some breathing difficulty. But she is doing much better otherwise, and I am so glad the doctors were able to help her. Hopefully she will be home from the hospital in the next few days. I am going back to the hospital to see her tomorrow with my Mom and my Grandfather. She will be happy to hear that so many people are praying for her and wishing her well! She has never had to be in a hospital overnight for an illness, and she has been pretty scared and stressed through all of this, but thankfully things are taking a good turn.

the forum is kinda slow today huh?

I would like to thank my classes for loading me down with homework that I had to take a break and post something to valuemd. I would like to thank my graduate school people for reminding me that giving thanks to a class is an anthropomorphism and having me rewrite my thesis. I would like to thank my undergraduate english professors for letting my honor their classes even though I never had to do any work. I would like to thank my ex spouse for teaching me about God, because before them, I never knew the meaning of hell. I would like to continue to ramble on and on, but I will get back to studying instead of graduating from being a junior member of valuemd for 20 something more posts when I will be upgraded to "member"/ back to studying, because I love renin angiotension systems.

Hello all! Update: we brought my grandmother home from the hospital yesterday. She seems to be doing better. She has her pacemaker and she will be getting home health care starting next week, rehab etc. She had never had surgery before, and for some reason she thought she should have absolutely no pain or discomfort whatsoever. Well, because of her COPD, she could only have a local anaesthetic, and not very much of it. And they had a little bit of trouble getting the lead in. So she is furious with the doctor. "That damn doctor really HURT ME!" she keeps fuming. Oh, well. I'm glad they were able to get it done. She can complain all she wants, but she's going to live.
As for me... don't know if it's from the stress, but today is the first day in about 4 days that I haven't had a migraine. I was so exhausted last night that I went to bed at 7:30, and this morning I didn't even remember getting home and going to bed, the last thing I remembered was being in the car. But I'm feeling better now. Probably because my Grandma is doing better.

Oh, I've had enough controversial conversations with family members in the last few days to last a lifetime... let's talk about.......... spring! I saw a pair of brown-headed cowbirds doing their courtship the other day. And I've seen a lot of daffodils! One of my favourite flowers. I wish they bloomed all year long.
