The largest immigration of European Jews to the area of Palestine was between the late 1800's and the 1920's. There was no anti-semitism until the late 1920's when it became obvious that the Jews were doing the same thing in Palestine that they had been doing in Europe. There is a basis for anti-semitism--and incidentally, the same process is occuring in the US. We just aren't aware of it yet because the US is so much larger and economically diverse. And no, I'm not anti-semite...I am a Jew.
