about a little angel, worth reading
This is a story that is humbling for us, doctors and med students.
A great example of caring. http://www.coindecolombie.com/histoi...re_anglais.htm |

Albeiro
During his childhood and teenage years, Albeiro has helped about 1,000 old people who were abandoned on the streets and destined to barely survive or to die. Half of these elderlies died in his arms, even as was a little child.
Today Albeio is 26 and has realized his dreams of building a sanctuary for old people to end life in peace instead of dying on the steets in terrible conditions. He dedicated his life to the abandoned elderlies since he was 6, and it was his own idea and decision. At only 9 years old, he was washing dirty, sick and abandonned old people, and craddling them in his arms. He fed them (managing by getting spoiled, free food in the markets), cleaned their house, entertained them, loved them, craddled them, told them stories, etc. All this on his own, no one told him or inspired him to do that. Abeiro's dream was to be a priest or a doctor, but he couldn't do it as he was too poor to go to school. This is an inspiration to us, isn't it? |
