hmm

Isn't a scientologist calling a psychiatrist wrong kinda like....well, a delusional patient calling their psychiatrist wrong? While we can all see the value of vitamins and exercise.

I, personally, have never gotten anyone off of drugs. I've tried. I also don't know the "history of psychiatry". I wonder what doors would open for me if I did?

In Mr. Cruise's defense... he has "read actual psychiatric research papers" and
"held them in his hands"... lol lol
Maybe we should all use our access to research papers online
and sell them to the likes of Mr. Cruise.....
Apparently... he mistakenly believes if research has been done on something
then it is 100% legit.

theres also no such thing as a chemical imbalance.....i can think of 10 neurologic disorders right off of the top of my head that are related to a chemical imbalance.....i saw the whole interview and i think he's a whack, but i will give him credit for one thing, kids are over medicated esp with ritaline.....i think ADD exists to an extent but its a dumping ground for a lot of kids that just need a good smack from their parents.....however, every other thing he said was just out there

Exclamation Liberal media

Not a single psychiatrist said a thing about TC exhibiting prominent sxs of hypomania:

Increased energy, activity, and restlessness
Excessively "high," overly good, euphoric mood
Extreme irritability
Racing thoughts and talking very fast, jumping from one idea to another
Distractibility, can't concentrate well
Needing little sleep
Unrealistic beliefs in one's abilities and powers
Poor judgment
Spending sprees
A lasting period of behavior that is different from usual
Increased sexual drive
Abuse of drugs, particularly cocaine, alcohol, and sleeping medications
Provocative, intrusive, or aggressive behavior
Denial that anything is wrong

Although the DSM (IMHO) has arbitrarily defined specific numbers of each criteria to qualify a person as having a specific disorder, clearly, TC has many of the aforementioned. Why the liberal media exhibits such cowardice is beyond me...

Once upon a time... in an ER in St Louis, I saw a patient who claimed to have been a prominent psychiatrist. As I finished my evaluation of him, rather than just writing this 50-something yo male off as delusional, I decided to obtain his permission to speak to his family. Sure enough, tried and true, a psychiatrist by trade.

My own theory on delusions: people take in their world and their twisted minds pop out a delusion. If you look closely enough, you will find a delusion once grounded in a semblance (but distorted) reality.

Tom Cruise's history surely holds the evidence of his underlying pathology.

dont dish it if you cant take it....

Bottom line: 'Hubbard claimed that mental and physical problems are often psychosomatic manifestations of those memories.'

Sounds sad but Cruise=cool, for those of us who are in the same age group as Katie Holmes (like me).

scientology will not beat proper healthcare, hopefully, ever....well at least not anywhere else than Hollywood...

In that case...

TC's memories, therefore, must be significantly marked by trauma, as evidenced by his affective instability.
