whats so good about gmail now since yahoo now allows also 1 gig of storage and search function...

Have you seen Yahoo lately? Huge, annoying graphical ads that take up 90% of the screen.

Gmail only has small, unobstrusive text ads.
Now with 2+ gigs of space (and increasing)
Emails are organized into conversations.

POP mail

and gmail you can use POP mail through outlook express or whatever mail program you are using. you download your mail on your computer and it archive it on the web!

Yeah but Yahoo charges for POP mail, Google is free.

Well, there are applications where you can use Gmail as an online drive, storing whatever you want.
