    Exclamation Anyone else feeling cynical?

Anyone else feeling that human beings are altogether too silly for words?

Hmmm....another thing...cynical thoughts Here goes. Sorry if offence is caused.

Intimate human relationships are not worth it. Romantic relationships, having kids, close friendships etc all eventually lead to resentment, disillusionment and general mental suffering (because everyone is inherently, biologically, selfish....?) Therefore a life free of commitments is the best way to go. True or false?

Citizenship status of St. Kitts gives people the right to have potential preferential treatment in the UK. For instance, children may go into the UK to study without having a student visa and may work in the UK for 2 years after studying without a working visa. So, hurry to hold St. Kitts citizenship.

Basically what you mean to say, that nothing in this world matters. Well that's a philosophy in of itself. This is really just a belief system that have to either accept or not. I personally don't agree with it, b/c I see humanity and all of our relationships as dynamic. Life in this world is not meant to be perfect, b/c perfection does not define humanity nor should it ever be. If we become perfect then we have no aspirations left, no fuel so to speak, and therefore we stop dreaming and desiring.

Bottom line: Human beings suck and so do their relationships, but the opposite is also true, you just have to try to take best out of every situation and phase in life.

Thank you for the reply Shenwalee. I know what you mean. I've gone through a period of nihilism and now I think that all one can do is find a meaning in life and things we do in life, even if that meaning is imagined.

Schizoid personality disorder (SPD) is a personality disorder characterized by a lack of interest in social relationships, a tendency towards a solitary lifestyle, secretiveness, emotional coldness, and apathy. Affected individuals may also demonstrate a simultaneous rich, elaborate, and exclusively internal fantasy world, although this is often more suggestive of schizotypal personality disorder.

Individuals with Asperger's Syndrome experience difficulties in basic elements of social interaction, which may include a failure to develop friendships or to seek shared enjoyments or achievements with others (for example, showing others objects of interest), a lack of social or emotional reciprocity, and impaired nonverbal behaviors in areas such as eye contact, facial expression, posture, and gesture.

Yes, I agree with you to some extent. But this is how our life cycle runs and even knowing the truth we all are just following this. We also remember that all days are not same. So, if you are disappointed with your relationship then the time may come when you will become satisfied by all this.

On some level, I know where you're coming from. I've been single for a long time (I'm quite picky) but this wouldn't be my first choice. I am generally happy, and I do my best to stay away from people who might potentially make my life a miserable one. I think many people who are not happy in their relationships are just in it because they are scared to be alone or single. That's just sad. Happiness is a choice.

Having no commitments don't lead to heartbreak, but it's also less meaningful than being in a relationship with someone who would do anything for you and someone who feels their life is awesome with you in it.
