The mayor and the newspapers in Flint have said derogatory things about Michael Moore for showing Flint in a bad light. As for his movies he distorts the truth. in Bowling for Columbine for example, he distorted reality. He showed himself going into a gunstore and buying a gun and made it appear that he walked out with one 20 minutes later. The reality was that he cut out the footage of a 72 hour background check. Dont be so gullible and believe everything you see. Beware of the Govenment/media complex. Dont let your critical thinking be destroyed by ABCNNBCBS!!!

i just want to restate i am not a democrat i vote republican 80% of the time i just don't trust the guy in office now, never did, never beleived in going to war with iraq that is my main issue with this clown full of run on sentences that everyone mistakes as "honest straight forward talk"..actually its probably a combination of a C education, daddy helping in the college acceptance and brain trauma secondary to cocaine intoxication and etoh abuse but thats just going by what happens to everyone else when they abuse etoh and cocaine...we all know big daddy cheney is running the show, during the seven minute stare it was him who issued the orders....a marine corps general came out after seeing that movie and said he had seen that stare before in combat and would releive anyone in charge of troops having that same look....has anyone seen the seven minute stare? its amazing and that is when i turned to the anyone but bush camp.....this guy is no war time leader, i think my lieutenenat could have reacted with more assertivenss and he was fresh out of the academy...

and don't try the save the little children routine, if he really wanted to keep the children safe he would have gotten himself out of reach of them as soon as possible...the only thing missing was a blanky and him sucking his thumb waiting for big daddy to bail him out like at the hearings, can't go without daddy....

I saw Bowling for Columbine. The gun issue is near and dear to my heart. All of his statistics were wrong. Even if they weren't, gun ownership is one of the cornerstones of freedom. Without guns in private hands, the government can do what they please. The founding fathers made it the SECOND ammendment. We don't have the second ammendment so we can have a military. We have a second ammendment BECAUSE we have a military.

One of the dumbest points Moore makes is regarding that picture of the airplane fuselage sitting in a field (in Iraq, is it?) He says they use it to train flight attendants, not terrorists. Gimme a break. Training flight attendants in a muddy field in the middle of nowhere....yeah. G

even with all our guns the governement is doing what it wants but i see your point...the constitution actually calls for a "well armed militia" not a thousand rednecks shooting freeway signs while downing some mad dog.

i am all for a well organized militia and handguns in the homes, i do have issue with military spec machine guns, deck sweepers, and cop killers, even though they are fun as hell to shoot...

The mayor and the chamber of commerce not liking Moore is not the same as "Flint" not liking Moore. And yeah, they don't like him because he makes them look like donkeyes in "Roger & Me" and in it's sequel. What the city council thinks isn't always what the blue-collar working man thinks.

Regarding the gun issue, I never commented on that. I just commented on the lengths Moore has gone to in his films to try to help the working people of his town in the best way he knows how as a film-maker. And I definitely didn't say I believe every thing Moore has said. I just said I don't think he is an "America hater". Sorry, Tony Shepard, that just doesn't wash.
