but remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.
... just laughed out loud in the library...
No kidding... this disease needs to be stopped! Maybe some pedophile counseling and shock therapy.

i heard someone say the twilight phenomenon is so big because women secretly want to date gay men and in the books this basically happens. i might have to agree with that.

I was thinking that my sister's collection of Twilight books would look nice in a firepit with my MCAT prep books![]()

I had one of the books on audio for my drive from NY to Chicago not so long ago (my girl drove there with me and I brought it along for her, a surprise because her cousin could not stop talking about it). I did not realize that she fell asleep (for a long portion of the book) and found myself driving a very boring drive through Pa and Ohio trying my best not to fall asleep or trying not to shoot myself. Needless to say I will never bring another audio book along for her to listen to on another trip, unless it is something that I want to hear also. This book was PURE TORTURE and it literally took 5 years off of my life. It is great to those who like it, but I simple was not into it. The funny part is that my girl later told me that she did not enjoy it either (at least the part she was awake for).

I'm ashamed to say, but I actually went and saw this new Twilight movie... the women in the audience were going nuts (audibly so) during several scenes. I just don't understand it...
It wasn't the worst movie I have ever seen, but I def. do not understand how it had an opening weekend bigger than "Braveheart", "Gladiator", "Schindler's List", or "Saving Private Ryan".
I don't get what the obsession is. I'll admit that I read the first book because I was curious. I could not get through it! The quality of writing was terrible.
