What can you say about a Knee Surgeon who falsely professed to be a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons but and in doing so gained my trust and persuaded me to spend my life savings, almost £9,000 on an operation.

I had something blocking movement in my knee but otherwise had no other painful symptoms. I had no prior history of knee surgery. Yet O S recommended the MACI knee operation which involved up to three operations including open knee surgery.

I suffered extreme pain after the first operation, lost mobility and my social life which revolved around sport.

I am completely disillusioned with the medical profession and feel I would have extreme difficulty in ever trusting a medical consultant again.

This is primarily an informational forum for medical students and those who are endeavoring to become medical students. While the scenario you describe is a sad one, it does not seem to fit this purpose at all.

I do hope your knee improves, regardless.

I'm extremly sorry to hear what has happend to you. But this is a forum about USMLE = United States Medical License Examination. You will find many Medical related posts here but are for the only purpose to prepare better for this Exams called USMLE.

I once again will reiterate that I feel sympathy for your situation. But this is not the best place to get an advise.
