    $2 billion for THIS!?

    http://www.meadowlandsxanadu.com/ste...ets/056910.jpg

it's a new mall in New jersey slated to open in 2010. utterly ridiculous. meanwhile, Newark crumbles in decay.
but remember that, even when those who move you be kings or men of power, your soul is in your keeping alone. When you stand before God you cannot say "but I was told by others to do thus" or that "virtue was not convenient at the time." This will not suffice. Remember that.

born and raised on long island (although i escaped to the warm weather in the early 90's). i have plenty of family still in the tri-state area. i wasnt trying to offend you or anyone else from jersey, it was just a joke.

No offense taken whatsoever. I think as office space in Manhattan continues to decline and raise in price, financial companies are going to have to resort to real estate either in Brooklyn, Jersey City, or Newark. Hopefully in time things will improve.

i have friends and family in jersey. i don't attempt to explain the troubles of the city, but to (in a thinly veiled way) say that the black population is the problem is utterly pathetic and ridiculous.

Newark is crumbling for many, many reasons. also throwing a major mall like this up that is costing 2 BILLION dollars isn't going to help the indigent population, or any of the population, it's just going to draw some of the traffic out of New York.
