Thread: 21st Century Dictators

The new breed of 21st Century dictators is far different from the ones of the last century. Germany had Hitler who wore boots and a military uniform. I was watching the Opening Ceremonies of the Olympics on TV, and one person who was watching mentioned "Is that the President of China?". I said that thats the Dictator, he did not look like one, wearing a suit and tie. However many dictators around the world are changing their image. Dimitry Medvedev looks like a Russian JFK but is really a Stalin. These new dictators have changed their outward image but their inner ambitions are still the same.

I guess it is required for dictators to read "dress for success" now. Next thing you know they will all have publicist like movie stars and be working on their next book/movie/takeover deal. LOL

Foreign governments hire US PR firms all the time to maintain a good media image in the US. That's one of the reasons I pay very little attention to US media for "news".

Not just PR, they have changed their style to deal with modern populations. The last eight years have shown us that facism can take root even in America. Fox News was great PR for the Republicans?
