If you think about Iron Man is probably the second most powerful big time superhero after Superman. He can fly with his suit anywhere in the world. His regular suit can lift about 100 tons making him much stronger than Spiderman. Iron Man has additional special suits that allow him to fly far into outer space and under water and even fight the Hulk.
Batman is largely nothing in the day time. Spiderman needs to be in a big city with skyscrapers to be effective, there was a comic book episode with Spiderman in a Midwest town with few tall buildings and his powers seemed a lot more limited in that environment.
DC though made a lot of characters that were as powerful as Superman, Booster Gold, Son of Saturn, etc.
I think the Beyonder in Marvel Comics had God like power. Galactus and Apocalypse were also hyperpowerful. I was disappointed that Galactus only showed up as a cloud in Fantastic Four 2. And the X-men movies were a big time letdown without Apocalypse who is the ultimate bad guy.

ok batman is officially the best movie of the summer. wicked intense. should have been an R rating.

Dark Knight was awesome, the movie pushes the boundaries even further than the last one. This movie was much darker than Batman Begins and it was more disturbing and far more intense, there were a lot of 9-11 allegories in this film. The Joker was far more violent and homicidal than the one in the 1989 Batman. I don't want to say much more than that just go out and see it. I can't wait until the third film.
