I'll be on the island at exactly a week from now on Thursday, 8th at 11 am.! Can't wait either....

The only drawback is that I'll probably miss most of the Lakers' 4th championship! Any idea if there is a bar or location where we diehards can watch the NBA playoffs?

You have got to be kidding me. the lakers are one of the worst teams ever. if they manage to make it that far that they will play the kings.....the kings will destroy them.

That's some funny smack you're running, and it's gotten old fast. People have been saying the Blazers/Spurs/Kings will "destroy" the Lakers each year of the dynasty. Three years have come and three wannabes have fallen. The Kings don't know how to finish a playoff series, they don't have the cojones (remember Game 7 last year? Oh yeah....). The Lake-show knows how to play this time of year. Be prepared for all the gold and purple flying championship banners this June.

you can watch tv in the student lounge, both of the Chinese restaurants, and even at Seaside cafe. All these places have cable and you should be able to watch the playoffs! That is, if there's electricity!

WOW...I find it so hard to imagine how one of the worst teams EVER managed to win THREE consecutive titles by mopping the floor with teams like the QUEENS, spurs, blazers, etc. If you dont know your bball, at least do some research to back up your opinion, which in this case makes no sense whatsoever.

the Lakers weren't dominant except for that 2001 post season when they steam rolled everyone. They barely made it in 2000 and 2002.

Im soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy the Lakers finally lost and that it was my team that did it.

I read a ***** Rose quote, the Spurs 6th man, saying that last year after they got eliminated that he hoped the Lakers would win the championship. He wanted the Spurs to be the team that finally snapped the Lakers streak.

The lakers never really had it this year.

yo joker, you really don't know your basketball. You called the lakers one the worst teams ever, and yet, they managed to win three titles in a row. That doesn't seem like a bad team, or the worst team ever like you said, does it? Grant it, they didn't have enough in the tank this year and they got beat by a tough Spurs team. Callin them trash and overblown sounds pretty bitter. You sound like a typical bitter and pissed off queens errrrrrrrrrr kings fan (trust me i know, i live in NoCal) who can't get over why the kings can't beat the lakers. And yes, shaq and kobe are great players, and if you don't believe they are, then you must have been sleeping the last three years. Get over it joker, all great things (like the lakers reign) do come to an end at some point, so should your bitterness.
