Popularizing Sociopathy
Grand Theft Auto IV was recently released worldwide, experts think the publisher will sell over $400 million worth of copies in its first week on the market alone. In the UK, a youth was stabbed for a copy of the game. Its amazing how the game industry is popularizing sociopathic behavior in video games. Scary. What else are these game makers going to come up with next?

The film industry has had a seedy reputation for gratuitous violence and sex. Maybe Steven Spielberg and Disney have been exceptions to this rule but its already been known that the music and movie industries have been churning out adult content(Munich, Amistad, Saving Private Ryan, and Schindler's List all had to be graphic in order to tell each one's story). Video games have been traditionally something for young people. GTA IV is being sold in Toys R Us, a children's store, that is something I find troublesome given the kind of violence in that game, and many others.
