Double Standards and Obama
A big ruckus has been made about Obama and his Pastor Jeremiah Wright but at the same time few people have said anything about McCain and the endorsement he received from John Hagee, if anyone knows anything about Hagee his speech and rhetoric is extreme, especially his comments about the Catholic Church. Some of his talk about the End Times and Armageddon in his speeches is complete lunacy. Obama has already distanced himself from Wright so what is the big ruckus all about?

you're joking here, right?
an endorsement? AN ENDORSEMENT? just because someone endorses you doesn't mean you support their views and opinions!! What if an axe murderer showed up on TV and endorsed you, big deal, it's his choice. but to be affiliated with a pastor, who "is like family", who married barak and his wife, and baptized his children, and for him to listen to this guy, Jeremiah Wright, for 20 YEARS!!, that says something about your character. it says something about your belief system. It actually says quite a bit. Sorry, but talking about an endorsement with mccain and putting that in the same rhetoric as barak obama and jeremiah wright is ignorance.

Well you should read up about John Hagee, the man is a Nutball, and Jeremiah Wright is not the Ayatollah. Hagee has quite a bit of influence on the current President George W Bush, he's a Texan, he is also a big preacher of the End of the World Rapture, and trying to influence US foreign policy. In actuality he has influenced the policies of the White House. Hagee has a very sketchy history, probably equally to Wright. Some of the things Hagee said about the Catholic Church have been particularly bigoted.

Your really haven't being following the campaign. RepubliCons and even McCain have done the same thing llinking Obama to people that have endorsed or said they lprefer him, even though he has denounced them...the to biggest examples Farrkhan and McCain calling Obama the candidate of Hamas. Yes, Mccain's own quote, but that's okay in the RepubliCon playbook. Meanwhile McCain has purposely saught the endorsement of people like Hagee and the religious right that said 9/11 was do the gays and debaucherous culture of america. That Katrina was punishment for the scheduled gay parade and the sinful ways of New Orleans. The list of far religious right people Mccain has sucked up and their outrageous statements has been completely overlooked. Why?

well, either way, when these primaries finally end (which it seems it never will, but they must end at the DNC in august), mccain will get more fair treatment and coverage on his weak points.
IMGSurvivor, I like your idea. I get frustrated when there are 2 or 3 people now to choose from, none of whom really represent MY interests.
